Mr. Yit was formerly the Vice President of Operations at Afexa Life Science responsible for production, extraction of active ingredients and business development. Afexa Life Sciences is the maker of Cold-FX, Canada¡¯s number one selling cold and flu remedy. Trained as an engineer, Mr. Yit also holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Guizhong Qi, PhD, Vice President, Product Development
Dr. Qi is also from Afexa Life Sciences. As a former Senior Scientist, he spearheaded the development of new formulations, process methodologies and manufacturing supports. Trained in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and pharmacology, he complements the Ocean Horizon Team. Dr. Qi is a graduate of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science, and served in post-doctoral research positions at Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (in Hiroshima University), Department of Chemistry, Hong Kong University, and Department of Chemistry, University of Alberta, Canada.
Sean DeWitt, B.Sc.,Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. DeWitt is a former Cardiovascular Sales Representative for Novartis Pharmaceuticals & Bristol-Myers Squibb responsible for professional education in Alberta. Prior to pharmaceuticals, Mr. DeWitt spent fiveyears as Manager of Manufacturing at Afexa Life Sciences, makers of COLD-FX.Mr. DeWitt was responsible for the development of manufacturing and quality assurance systems.
Jennifer Ge,B.Comm., Vice President, Finance
Ms. Ge worked several years in Canada as an accountant in various accounting firms and real estate management companies. She is a graduate of the University of Northern British Columbia with a B.Comm. in Accounting. Ms. Ge is currently pursuing her CGA designation.
